Jackie Soo has over 22 years of competitive ice hockey experience and her career highlights include playing with the Hong Kong Women’s Team in international tournaments against teams from China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia. She has also participated in tournaments benefiting the NHL’s Hockey Fights Cancer initiatives and is a three-time attendee of the Mario Lemieux Fantasy Hockey Camp in Pittsburgh, PA.
Soo is a USA Hockey Level 3 certified coach and has shared her passion and knowledge of the game with the Everett Youth Hockey Junior Silvertips Beginner Program, the Seattle Junior Hockey Association’s Admirals U12 girls’ development team, as well as with the Mites U8 program in the Sno-King Amateur Hockey Association.
Known for her speed, agility, hockey sense and hard work, Jackie has made eight All-Star Game appearances in the annual Seattle Thunderbirds/Ronald McDonald House Charities Hockey Challenge event and currently plays in the Greater Seattle Hockey League, where she is often the only female on male-dominated teams.
As a personal trainer, Jackie is certified with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and also has specialized certifications in fitness for women, as well as for older adult clients. She is knowledgeable and experienced in post-injury reconditioning, strengthening, and corrective exercises, especially for the ankles and knees. Having worked in a variety of settings from big box gyms to in-home with private clients, Jackie has received high client satisfaction, results and positive accolades from those whom she has trained.
Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Jackie also enjoys running 5K races, traveling and continuously learning about the latest in the health and fitness industry.
